I really like this photo, the perspective, saturated colours and the shadows. I was told these are grain bins. Perfectly lined up and identical yet they have a rustic quality due to how they have weathered. |

rainbow pouch
I saw a really neat pleating technique on a skirt while in France several years ago and have been meaning to attempt something similar since that trip. Well, this was the week I finally tryed it out. It was very time consuming, even once I had figured out how to do it, but it turned out not too bad.
I used a rainbow stripe material so I wouldn't have to mark out all my folds and so, when the pleat was folded back, it would add a little fun to the design. The same material was used, unpleated, for the lining.
It has been about 15 years since I inserted a zipper into anything and it was not so easy for me. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that, instead of using a pattern, I just made things up as I went along... I wonder... ;o)
