I just emailed Claire from loobylu my first ever Month of Softies contribution. She is made of vintage pink tweed with a polka dot ribbon and my grandmother's metal broach at her neck. I'm not too keen on the embroidered features but overall I think she turned out ok. She looks super cute on my couch!
Tonight I am headed to Edmonton to a stitch & bitch night at Amanda's. I made her a present but it is a surprise so a picture will have to wait until tomorrow!
This was inspired by a hummingbird that used to hang around my parents hummingbird feeder and chase all the other hummingbirds away. He got pretty chubby over the course of the summer!

My cute little packs of button tacks are all done... all 80 packs! Whew! And look, they have green staples! I think they turned out super cute. All ready to be mailed off to Marie at The Sampler. Happy, happy!
So many buttons. And glue. And cork. And baggies... oh the humanity!
I am in the midst of making 50+ sets of button tacks for the February edition of the sampler ... 3 hours so far this evening just on packaging them up - and I am still not done. This is day three, a whole lotta work for a fairly simple idea. Luckily I completed 27 sets in December so all together I will have 75-80 sets to send in.
Tomorrow I have to get some colour copies of the packaging and, hopefully, some green staples because that would be a cute touch, don't you think?
