I had much fun at Amanda's last night although lets just say my knitting skills are, well, not exactly skilled. Next month I think I will be bring along an embroidery project.
Here is one of the presents I brought for Miss Amanda. The image is an illustration she did which I silkscreened onto carmel cotton velvet and then sewed up into a jaunty shoulder bag. I love velvet but I do not enjoy sewing it as it is sooooo shifty! Thank you to whomever invented basting tape. In the future I must attempt to limit the use of velvet to small accents and not the whole project.

Awwww, cute! I just looked at Amanda's journal and she posted pictures of the bags I gave her there. Yay!
